Construction of Road 28 Bridge Replacementat Cottonwood Creek

The project consisted of removing an existing 22-foot wide by 200-foot long bridge over Cottonwood Creek that was built in 1921. American Paving Co. then replaced the existing bridge with a reinforced 16-inch thick flat concrete slab bridge measuring 212 feet 10 inches long and 35 feet 6 inches wide. The bridge was supported by pre-cast concrete driven piles at the abutments and 16-inch cast-in-steel shell piles at the six bents. The project also included approximately 490 feet of reconstructed approach roadway.Owner:
