Rio Bravo Medical Center is soon to become the premier medical complex in Bakersfield. APC completed both the on-site and off-site mass grading phase of a 3/4-mile, 2-lane road leading to the new, 46-acre Rio Bravo Medical Campus in the spring of 2009. Construction included moving over 260,000 cubic yards of dirt, rock, and cobble. Cutting through the rough terrain required making cuts and fills up to 30 feet in some areas while dealing with a mixture of clay, silt, sand, and cobbles. This project was completed on-time and under budget, while logging over 4,500 man-hours with no OSHA recordable incidents.
